Home remedies for Joint Pain

Joint is a common complaint associated with diseases of bones. It is commonly found all over the world and worst affected is the elderly people. Joint pain is a symptom commonly found in diseases such as gout, arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis etc. Joint pain may also occur after joint replacement or any surgery.   • Turmeric is another important home remedy that has anti-inflammatory properties. Put half tea spoon of turmeric powder in hot milk and drink it every day. It will help to reduce swelling and inflammation of the joints thereby reducing pain.
  • Apple cider vinegar is also a good remedy for joint pains. Mix apple cider vinegar with honey and take it every day to reduce pain and swelling of joints.
  • Apply vinegar on the affected joint to get relief from pain and swelling.
  • Fruit juices have essential vitamins and minerals that give strength to the bones. Banana has properties that help to reduce joint pains.
  • Milk is a rich source of calcium which is essential for bones. Drinking hot milk everyday strengthens bones and ligaments and reduces joint pains.
  • Application of hot and cold compresses on affected joint also gives relief from pain in joints. It gives maximum benefit when done at night before sleeping.
  • People with joint pains should consume fewer pulses as they are rich in proteins which may aggravate joint pains.
  • Regular exercise also helps in easy movement of joints.
  • Intake of alcohol, tea and coffee should be avoided to reduce swelling and inflammation of the joints.
